Many Mesa County offices will close on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.

Mesa County Public Health (MCPH) launches a new public-facing dashboard to track the progress of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

During the Board of Mesa County Commissioners’ June 24 public hearing, they approved participation in the Local Planning Capacity Grant Program to implement an Artificial Intelligence (AI) pilot initiative to improve efficiency and accuracy in permit application intake and review processes, streamline workflows, and reduce turnaround times for the Community Development Department.

Workforce Centers throughout Colorado now have a Disability Program Navigator (DPN), which is a role that exists to connect Workforce Center services with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) for clients with disabilities.

At the June 24 public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners ratified the Community Rating System (CRS) Community Certifications form CC-230 for the Floodplain Management Program, which validates Mesa County's implementation of the Community Rating System program.

The second phase of the 32 1/2 Road and Clifton Campus Roadway Improvement Project begins on July 1, 2025, causing a closure of the Intersection of E Road and 32 1⁄2 Road until phase two of the project is complete.
